NASSAU, BAHAMAS – We often drive past the Salvation Army building, shelters, or even churches, but have you ever stopped to think about the work that goes on within those buildings.
Well, Divisional Secretary for The Bahamas and Turks and Caicos, Captain Kevin Bryan, shares a little background on their day to day operations.
The organization has had a presence in The Bahamas since 1937, the shelter in Grants Town has been operational since 1987.
As a non profit organization, they rely heavily on donations.
And with an uptick in domestic abuse cases, Captain Bryan says they’ll need help, more than ever, to support those in desperate need of a safe haven.
