Caribbean Rattled By Two Earthquakes

ST. KITTS AND NEVIS – A 3.5 magnitude earthquake was recorded near St. Kitts and Nevis. The UWI Seismic Research Center said it occurred around 1:56 am on Thursday at a depth of 10 kilometers.

ST. KITTS AND NEVIS – A 3.5 magnitude earthquake was recorded near St. Kitts and Nevis. The UWI Seismic Research Center said it occurred around 1:56 am on Thursday at a depth of 10 kilometers.

According to the automatic earthquake location from UWI SRC, the quake struck Basseterre, Saint Kitts and Nevis, Saint John’s, Antigua and Barbuda, and Point-à-Pitre, Guadeloupe.

Another quake occurred a few minutes earlier. This was recorded near Barbados with a magnitude of 3.7.

The tremor was felt in Barbados, Saint Vincent and The Grenadines and Saint Lucia.

There were no reports of injury or damage.
