UNITED STATES – Grocers across the U.S. are capping egg sales to one carton per customer each day as the bird flu outbreak squeezes supplies. Stores like Kroger, Costco, and even Walmart are tweaking how many eggs you can buy.

The shortage comes as millions of chickens are culled due to avian flu, sending egg prices soaring and expected to jump another 20% this year.

Even restaurants, like Waffle House, say they are feeling the pinch, adding extra charges per egg.
