GUYANA – Guyana could be well on its way to becoming one of the world’s largest oil producers by the end of the decade.

It’s due to a new hydro-carbon discovery putting Guyana on track to produce over a million barrels of oil a day.

Exxon Mobil announcing that two of the exploration wells in the “Stabroek block” contain levels of hydro-carbon that are commercially viable.

These wells, when added to the developments in Exxon Mobil’s Guyanese projects, will mean Guyana will hit that million-barrel target by 2030.

The company could have as many as five off-shore projects by 2025.
