ABACO, BAHAMAS – Weeks of relentless wildfires in North Abaco have left communities on edge, as smoke and flames threatened critical infrastructure and major roadways. On Tuesday, conditions deteriorated rapidly as thick smoke enveloped the S.C. Bootle highway, making it nearly impossible for motorists to see.
