ABACO , BAHAMAS –

Hubert Ingraham – Former Prime Minister

“Are you satisfied with the PLP representation and its government? Well, if you are not satisfied, why would you vote for them again? Why would they change? They would have to say you like bad treatment because they treat you dead bad.”

Former Prime Minister Hubert Ingraham did not hold back, slamming the Progressive Liberal Party’s handling of Abaco over the last four and a half years.

The former North Abaco MP, who represented that constituency for 35 years, also told Abaconians to vote for the FNM’s North Abaco candidate, Terrece Bootle, and Central and South Abaco candidate Jeremy Sweeting.

“Now don’t pay attention to anyone who tells you they’re independent or they’re coalition. They can’t do anything for you.”

“Abaco wants to be heard, and in order for Abaco to be heard, you elect Terrece and Jeremy.”

Ingraham also pushed back against PLP Chairman Fred Mitchell, who reportedly said he should “be quiet.”

“You know, I don’t know why they don’t want me to talk, and they have Pindling talking from the grave on social media. They have Mag, Dame Marguerite Pindling, who is 90-something, holding hands with candidates to get elected, but I must be quiet? Child please!”

Fred Mitchell – Chairman, Progressive Liberal Party

“Hubert Ingraham is not running for prime minister. He is a bygone, he’s irrelevant. What he says makes no sense, and what he says should be rejected. Go sit down, Hubert!”

From all indications, Ingraham will be doing just the opposite, he told the rally crowd he’ll be in Abaco over the next few days visiting several communities.
