NASSAU, BAHAMAS – It’s a dreadful thought for anyone to have: missing father.

Miami-based Nabiha Khan and her family have been searching for her 70-year-old father Pervez Khan also known as “PJ” since August 19th.

The charter pilot who was the only person onboard that cargo flight is from Pakistan but moved to the United States, and has been living there since the 70’s.

Kahn was flying from Ft. Lauderdale, Florida to Eleuthera when his plane was seen going down near Andros, according to police.

His daughter says he has flown the route for decades, but admits there was some bad weather adding that the radar shows that he was already out of the weather when the flight went missing.

While she appreciates the search and rescue efforts by U.S. and Bahamian authorities. She says it was brief and the family has now begun their own search.

As a result of that, she is calling on Bahamians to keep an eye out for any clues that can assist in their search.

Khan also revealing her father has crashed in an aircraft before but says due to his rigorous flight training in Pakistan he survived.

She’s calling the situation unimaginable and her hope is to find her father.
