NASSAU, BAHAMAS – A law enforcement officer finding himself on the wrong side of the law after being charged with multiple counts of unlawful sexual intercourse.

Twenty-seven-year-old Royal Bahamas Defence Force marine Vann Miller faced five counts of unlawful sexual intercourse when he appeared before Senior Magistrate Derence Rolle-Davis.

Prosecutors say Miller began an illicit sexual relationship with the 12-year-old girl in September 2021, which allegedly continued up to March 9, 2023. The girl is now 13 years old, according to court dockets.

Miller was not required to enter pleas to the allegations.

Bail was denied and he returns to court on June 15.
