Police Officer Granted $12K Bail
NASSAU, BAHAMAS – A police officer accused of molesting his daughter remains in custody, despite being granted bail Monday afternoon.
NASSAU, BAHAMAS – A police officer accused of molesting his daughter remains in custody, despite being granted bail Monday afternoon.
Justice Gregory Hilton set bail at $12,000 bail for the 33-year-old corporal, who had spent more than a week in prison after being charged with 10 counts of incest.
Prosecutors say that the father began molesting his daughter in November 2020 when she was 10 years old and molestation allegedly continued until February 24, 2023.
The policeman will remain in prison until his suretors are approved by the court.
