NASSAU, BAHAMAS – For many years Family Islands have felt a sense of neglect as it relates to capital development and upkeep of infrastructure. The superintendent of the sign department tells us the Family Islands won’t be left behind this time around.

The Sign Department in the Ministry of Works isn’t only addressing roadside signs in New Providence but also on the Family Islands.

Sign Department Superintendent David Moxey tells us they’re making moves to address the needs on the Family Island.

Moxey recently told Our News they’ve run into challenges like vandalism and drivers running over the signs.

He explains, they face a different type of challenge in the Family Islands and says The Ministry of Works has a hotline that caters to recommendations.
