Track and Field

The Temple Christian Suns track and field program continued to shine in the spotlight—a top-three finish for the high schoolers at BAISS, and now a dominant performance from the primary school.

The Suns won three of the six primary divisions at the Frank “Pancho” Rahming All Schools Nationals at the original Thomas A. Robinson Stadium.

They captured the 7U, 9U, and 13U divisions, capped by a big day in the field at Thursday’s final day of competition.

The 13U was the closest race of the meet, where TC edged Sts. Francis Joseph by just over a point, 75.67 to 74.

The 7U division was also tight. TC finished with 57 points, just ahead of Clara E. Evans Primary of North Andros, with 54.

As for the other divisions, Grand Bahama schools were at the top.

Hugh W. Campbell Primary captured the 11U title with 81 points, with the Suns in second, and Tabernacle Baptist Primary topped the field in the open division with 56 points.
