NASSAU, BAHAMAS – While the Department of Immigration is cracking down on undocumented migrants, Immigration Minister Keith Bell contends there are a number of issues and trends among lawful migrants in the country.

Bell says anyone found violating the terms of their permits will have the permit revoked and the permit holder will be prosecuted and deported.

The immigration minister’s comments came during his communication in the House of Assembly Wednesday, where he issued a stern warning to all those living illegally in the country to get out.

He said the failure to leave voluntarily will lead to illegal migrants being arrested, prosecuted, deported and placed on a restricted list.
