WNBA

Jonquel Jones turned in another strong performance on Saturday night, but the New York Liberty fell just short in a heartbreaking 98-97 loss to the Los Angeles Sparks.

Jones finished with points and eight rebounds as New York watched a 17-point second-half lead disappear before the Sparks sealed the comeback with a buzzer-beating three-pointer.

Despite the loss, Jones continues to put together another impressive campaign, averaging 13.6 points, 9.3 rebounds and 2.6 assists per game this season for the defending WNBA champions.

Bahamian fans can help Jones earn another WNBA All-Star selection by casting their votes through the official WNBA app or online at WNBA.com/AllStarVote as the voting period continues.
