Civil Engineer in the Ministry of Works Francis Clarke says New Providence has 890 miles of roadways and 85 percent of the existing roads do not meet 21st-century standards.

It’s an issue that’s not lost on works officials. Clarke sharing some of the progress they’ve made recently.

As for what’s needed going forward: civilized road and to preserve the pavement as much as possible.
