EL SALVADOR – El Salvador says it’s willing to house dangerous American criminals, even U.S. Citizens, in a mega-jail in exchange for a fee.
EL SALVADOR – El Salvador says it’s willing to house dangerous American criminals, even U.S. Citizens, in a mega-jail in exchange for a fee.
U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio hailed the move as an unprecedented act of friendship after a recent visit.
The newly built maximum-security jail is at the centre of government’s drive to lock up and punish the most violent gang members it says the jail can hold up to 40,000 inmates.
