Survivor Meets Her Savior Months After Brutal Roadside Attack

NASSAU, BAHAMAS – A tragic incident turned into a story of bravery, resilience, and an unbreakable bond, proof that even in the darkest moments, humanity shines through as Latasha Rolle, a woman who was brutally attacked last year, came face-to-face with her hero, Delano Clarke, who saved her from a violent assault in December.

This emotional moment marked the first time the pair had met since the life-changing incident.

It was an emotional morning as Latasha Rolle and Delano Clarke reunited for the first time since Clarke heroically saved Rolle from a violent attack at a bus stop on Baillou Hill Road last December.

Fighting back tears, Rolle expressed deep gratitude for Clarke’s selfless actions, recalling the terrifying moment that left her with two broken legs and changed her life forever.

The Rotary Club of The Bahamas along with the Crisis Center of The Bahamas honored the pair for their courage and resilience.

Clarke was awarded a white ribbon pin from the crisis center, for his heroic act.

He was also presented with a plaque of commendation by the Rotary Club of The Bahamas.

National Security Minister Wayne Munroe addressed the gathering, stressing the need for more individuals to take action.

“ There was Ms. Rolle, who had done absolutely nothing to deserve or attract the attack. Then there were those who watched and really did nothing about it and were not a part of the solution. But fortunately, there was one person who boldly acted, mr. Delano clark, and he became a part of the solution,” said Wayne Munroe.

The young mother did not leave empty-handed; she was presented with a Monetary Reward from the crisis center to help her during her recovery as the incident has left her unable to work for the past three months.
