NASSAU, BAHAMAS – A juvenile is facing a murder charge after prosecutors say he killed a 50-year-old man.

The 16-year-old boy stood before Chief Magistrate Roberto Reckley alongside his grandmother charged with the March 30 murder of Kevin Cooper, who also used the surnames Evans and Carey.

According to police, Cooper was shot near the Fleming Street Clinic after an exchange of words with another male.

The teen wasn’t required to enter a plea to the murder charge and bail was denied.

He was remanded to the Simpson Penn School For Boys and returns to court on July 3 to receive voluntary bill of indictment papers.
