NEW YORK – Caribbean nationals are among more than 130 illegal immigrants arrested in a major ICE crackdown across New York.

The week-long operation targeted immigrants with serious criminal convictions, including a Trinidadian man convicted of murder, and two Dominicans found guilty of sex crimes and manslaughter.

ICE says the sweep, which was carried out with help from several federal agencies, led to arrests in Buffalo, Rochester, Syracuse, and Albany.

ICE says it’s all part of a broader push to remove dangerous offenders.
