U.S.A. – After a month-long absence due to a right oblique strain, Jazz Chisholm Jr made a triumphant return to the New York Yankees lineup on Tuesday night.

His solo home run propelled the Yankees to a 3–2 win over the Cleveland Guardians at Yankee Stadium in the Bronx.

In his first game back since April 30, Chisholm broke a 1–1 tie in the seventh inning by launching a first-pitch fastball into the right-field seats.

It was his eighth home run of the season and his first since April 21.

He also singled in the fifth inning to finish 2-3 on the night, and defensively played third base.

The Yankees have now won 11 of their last 14 games, improving to 37–22.

NCAA Basketball

Romad Dean’s time in the transfer portal has come to an end.

Dean, a 6’7″ forward has announced his transfer to the University of Tulsa Golden Hurricane for the upcoming season.

He spent the previous three seasons with the Fordham rams in the Atlantic 10 Conference.

Last season he averaged career highs – 7.7 points and 5.9 rebounds per game, while shooting 46 percent from the field and 38 percent from three.

Tulsa finished 13–20 overall, 6–12 in American Athletic Conference under head coach Eric Konkol.

Meanwhile, two-sport star Antonicia Moultrie is headed to Division I.

A standout in both basketball and track and field at Garden City Community College (GCCC), she Announced her transfer to the ohio university bobcats for the upcoming season.

The 6′ forward dominated on the court at GCCC and averaged 10.4 rebounds per game, ranked 25th in all of NJCAA Division I.

On the track, Moultrie starred in the 400-meter hurdles, and ran a personal best of 1:03.76 at the 2024 NJCAA Region VI Championships.

The Bobcats compete in the Mid-American Conference and finished 6-23 last season.

Basketball

Bahamian hooper Aaron Levarity is making waves overseas this season in France.

Levarity split time this year between Alm évreux in Pro B and a late-season move up to the top-tier Beltclic Elite with Essm le Portel.

Since joining le Portel, Levarity has averaged 7.5 points, 4.5 rebounds, per game.

After a two game sweep over Orleans, le Portel is headed to the Pro A Final.

In 43 games this season, Levarity averaged just under a double-double–9.9 points and 9.1 rebounds per game–while adding two assists per contest. He shot an efficient 52 percent from the field.
