Stolen Boats In GB Recovered

NASSAU, BAHAMAS – A possible boat theft ring may be starting on Grand Bahama, leaving some residents on alert. Our Italia Hall speaks with a resident whose boat was stolen, and a neighbor who witnessed it all.

The incident unfolding around 3 AM Sunday morning in the Fortune Bay community.

According to residents, it is the second boat theft in recent weeks.

Debbie Lane, a victim of the latest incident says her stolen boat was sighted after she went public in a social media post.

Lane says after inspecting the boat once it was recovered. She discovered the GPS missing.

This resident who does not want to be named claims she witnessed the crime.

Now, Lane is calling for more police presence on the waters and a quicker response time.
