NASSAU, THE BAHAMAS – Have you picked up a Valentine’s Day gift for that special someone yet or are you still wondering what to buy?

If flowers and perfume feel a little predictable this year, Our Denielle Miller has a sweet idea you might want to add to your shopping list.

Roses, perfume, dinners and jewelry are all classic Valentine’s Day gifts but one thoughtful option many people often overlook is something sweet.

From pastries to cookies and cakes, founder of TD Cakes Bakery and Dessert, Charlicia Greene shares how dessert is becoming a popular way to show love.

“What would a female appreciate as a sweet treat on Valentine’s Day? Well Valentine’s Day we’re going to have a lot of sweet treats but out most popular option right now is is our raspberry rose lychee cheese cake and we have gotten so many request for that outside of Valentine’s Day that definitely that will be an awesome treat for her for Valentine’s.” – Charlicia Greene

“Cheesecake to me feels sexy and then there’s also the chocolate strawberries. We’re going to have a lot of chocolate strawberries with different varieties of different toppings on” – Charlicia Greene

While sweets may be an easy choice for her, Greene says shopping for men takes a slightly different approach.

“Men are kinda tricky to purchase for they like more like decadent items like brownies and like cookies.

And when it comes to Valentine’s treats for the little ones, Greene says there’s one option that never fails.

“Kids always love cupcakes and you can’t go wrong. They love the icing they love the actually cake. You can’t go wrong with a cupcake for kids.”
