NASSAU, BAHAMAS – The Attorney General’s Office has conceded that a judge was wrong when he refused to give The World Famous Valley Boys leave to seek judicial review of a decision to remove the group from the non-profit registry.

The Valley Boys, formed in 1958, split in 2024 due to a dispute in management, leading to the formation of the Way Forward Valley Boys Junkanoo Group, headed by Trevor Davis.

The Registrar General registered Davis’ group as a non-profit and removed The World Famous Junkanoo group, which is led by Brian Adderley.

As a result of the concession, a Supreme Court judge will determine whether the Registrar acted in accordance with the law.
