Chisholm Hits Go Ahead Home-run in Yankees’ Win

UNITED STATES – Yankees all-star second baseman Jazz Chisholm Jr. continued his hot streak against the Toronto Blue Jays last night. He went 2-4 at the plate, including a two-run home run to help the Yankees overcome an early deficit for a 7-6 win.

UNITED STATES – Yankees all-star second baseman Jazz Chisholm Jr. continued his hot streak against the Toronto Blue Jays last night.

He went 2-4 at the plate, including a two-run home run to help the Yankees overcome an early deficit for a 7-6 win.

Since he switched to teammates Trent Grisham’s and Giancarlo Stanton’s baggy pants, look the recent numbers have shown – he is locked in.

Over his last five games, Chisholm has gone 10-19 at the plate with three doubles and four multi-hit games.

Off the field he’s been a hit with his philanthropic efforts as well, as his Tunnel Fits & Kicks Foundation raised over $200,000 for underserved youth in The Bahamas, Florida, and New York.

Dorsett Dominates at Sun Belt Championships

More from the NCAA conference championships, where Georgia Southern’s Shatalya Dorsett put on a show in the Sun Belt.

Dorsett led the meet with 23 points, capturing three gold medals.

She ran a Georgia Southern record 11.18 seconds to win the 100 meters, clocking a personal best 22.91 to take the 200 meters, and helped the Eagles’ 4x100m relay team strike gold with the second-fastest time in program history at 44.37 seconds.

In that 200 meters final, Paige Archer of Texas State University claimed bronze in 23.49 seconds.

Meanwhile, at the Southland Conference Championships, Tarajh Hudson of Northwestern State University won the discus title with a season-best final throw of 56 meters, 13 centimeters.

Roberts, Dean Commit to UK Wildcats

They have been teammates in high school, on national teams, and now that carries over to a dominant powerhouse in the SEC.

Alexis Roberts and Darvanique Dean officially announced their commitment to join Lonnie Green’s program in Lexington, Kentucky.

Roberts, a standout sprinter, and Dean a hurdler, are both products of St. Augustine’s College.

They have a litany of individual accolades, but most recently helped the big red machine to a historic 4x100m win at the Penn Relays.

Wildcats Coach Green has made The Bahamas to UK pipeline for both parties since he took the helm in 2012, with this duo being the latest to take on the SEC.
