NASSAU, BAHAMAS – Two men are behind bars after two people were killed and three others injured during a shooting on Independence Day.

Prosecutors allege that Romeo Cooper and Deonne Lockhart are responsible for the July 10 murders of Delano Miller and Fred Wildgoose.

They’re also accused of the attempted murder of Richell Rolle, Tamara Jean, and Ketral Val.

The victims were in front of a home on Dumping Ground Corner and Meadow Street when gunmen alleged to be Cooper and Lockhart opened fire.

The accused were not required to enter pleas to the charges when they made their first court appearance before Senior Magistrate Algernon Allen Jr.

Bail was denied and they’re back in court in November to receive voluntary bill of indictment papers.
