Two Men Charged in Connection With Ambush Shooting at Cowpen Road Home

NASSAU, BAHAMAS – Two men are facing murder and murder conspiracy charges after a man was gunned down in an ambush shooting.

30-year-old Edmer Delmvard was shot dead on September 23 after he answered a knock at the door of his Cowpen Road home.

Prosecutors say Julio Deveaux, 28, and Javonr Lewis, 27, committed the crime and conspired to carry it out.

They didn’t have to enter pleas to the charges when they stood before Acting Chief Magistrate Ancella Evans, and bail was denied.

Deveaux and Lewis are back in court on January 28 to receive voluntary bill of indictment papers.
