NASSAU, BAHAMAS – A new study from the University of The Bahamas has reignited discussions about marital rape after the results showed that one in twelve married women surveyed had suffered some form of sexual assault at the hands of their spouse.
NASSAU, BAHAMAS – A new study from the University of The Bahamas has reignited discussions about marital rape after the results showed that one in twelve married women surveyed had suffered some form of sexual assault at the hands of their spouse.
According to the study, married women were 1.6 times more likely to be assaulted by their husbands than single women were to be assaulted by their partners.
