ABACO, BAHAMAS – Students on Abaco and Grand Bahama have returned to in person learning, however there are still some issues that need to be addressed to allow students and teachers to flourish. One of them is the teacher shortage in Abaco.

Students in Abaco and Grand Bahama have been challenged in recent years due to hurricane Dorian, coupled with the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic.

New Education Director Dominique McCartney said learning loss continues to be an issue.
