Decomposing Body Found in Bushes on GB

GRAND BAHAMA, BAHAMAS – An afternoon walk took a grisly turn for one Grand Bahama resident who discovered a decomposing body on a secluded beach. The discovery comes as two remain missing on that northern island.

That’s Acting Deputy Commissioner of Police Theophilus Cunningham described the gruesome discovery, noting police were called to the scene where they found a man wearing multi-colored underwear.

The area was cordoned off on Sunday afternoon as police processed the scene.

The body was transported to the Rand Memorial Hospital.

Given the state of decomposition, the deputy commissioner could not confirm whether they suspect foul play.

This discovery comes as police in Grand Bahama are investigating two missing persons cases; a woman from the inner city of Grand Bahama and 17-year-old boy from Eight Mile Rock.

While Cunningham could not say if police suspect the body could be one of the missing people, he is asking for members of the public to help in those cases.
