NASSAU, BAHAMAS – Following a devastating fire earlier this week, one A Group participant will have to pull out of this year’s Junkanoo parade.

The Minister with responsibility for Culture tells Our News, while this is unfortunate, Junkanoo is still “Aliv” and groups are ready to return to Bay.

Prodigals Sons, suffering a major loss after a fire blazed through their shack earlier this week.

Minister of Youth, Sports and Culture, Mario Bowleg, says this unfortunately means the group will not make it to the parade route.

However, the minister says spectators can still expect to see all of their favorite groups.

Minister Bowleg also emphasizing that when it comes to Junkanoo, there’s no place like home, and it will indeed remain on Bay Street.
