Mexico fentanyl

MEXICO – Authorities in Mexico seized 2,000 bags of fentanyl pills apparently baked into traditional bread rolls.

The seizure suggests the drug cartels are trying to piggyback shipments in packages of traditional Mexican products.

A specially trained dog alerted guard members of suspicious packages at an express mail delivery company.

Upon opening the boxes, officers found packages of corn chips and traditional bread rolls.  The pills were baked inside.

Mexico is the main U.S. supplier of counterfeit pills laced with fentanyl, a drug that kills tens of thousands of Americans each year.
