NASSAU, BAHAMAS – A teacher at Thelma Gibson Primary will go to trial next February for allegedly slapping a woman at a PTA meeting. 

Lakeisha Gray-Davis, 43, denied an assault charge when she stood before Assistant Chief Magistrate Subusola Swain.

Prosecutors say she assaulted Timisha Daxon at Thelma Gibson Primary on October 7.

Gray-Davis has been freed on $2,000 bail and returns to court on February 24, 2023 for her trial.

Her alleged victim is the daughter of the Olivia Daxon, the school’s embattled principal.

Teachers walked off their jobs in protest on September 13 and called for Daxon’s dismissal after she allegedly assaulted Shenique Sweeting, a teacher.Daxon, the principal, has been charged with assault over the September 12 incident and will face trial on December 19.
