Members of Rise Bahamas say stiffer penalties are needed for people convicted of crimes against children.
President Terneille Burrows is calling for restorative justice to ensure rigorous rehabilitation, to prevent repeat offending.
The clarion call comes after the death of two three-month-old babies this month. Criminal charges have only been filed in one of those cases.
