$3M Spent On Stadium Renovations, Says Sports Minister

NASSAU, BAHAMAS – Over $3 million dollars is being spent to upgrade the facilities at the Queen Elizabeth Sports Complex, specifically the tracks at the old and New Thomas A. Robinson Stadiums as well as the surrounding areas.

Sports Minister Mario Bowleg confirming the scope of work heading into the weekly cabinet meeting.

The upgrades come as the country is getting set to host the 50th CARIFTA games during the easter weekend.

The sports minister says both tracks – the one in the old and new stadiums – are set to be upgraded, not just for CARIFTA but also for the world relays which the country will host next year.
