NASSAU, BAHAMAS – A tractor was on sight tearing down a home in the Bain and Grants Town community on Tuesday through Eneas Street.

The initiative carried out by officials from urban renewal seeks to deter and eliminate areas and structures that promote criminal activity. 

State Minister for Social Services and Urban Renewal Lisa Rahming calling the demolition a crime prevention measure

The member of parliament for the area Wayde Watson says a number of similar structures remain in the area which he hopes can be torn down and be replaced with brand new home
