NASSAU, BAHAMAS – The Ceasefire Unit of the Royal Bahamas Police Force now equipped with ten new Ford high terrain jeeps.

Police Press Liaison Officer Chief Superintendent Chrislyn Skippings says the vehicles will assist with patrols and are each valued at 150,000 dollars.

Skippings says so far, the special unit recovered over 30 firearms this month.

She says officers will take a more aggressive approach to policing.

The vehicles are a part of a 20-vehicle donation from the U.S. Embassy earlier this year.
