NASSAU, BAHAMAS – Prime Minister Philip Davis is expressing disappointment after Paradise Island Lighthouse and Beach Club Owner Toby Smith told a local daily that he feels betrayed by Davis.

Smith spoke to The Nassau Guardian after the prime minister failed to approve his proposal to develop a project at the western end of Paradise Island.

However, the prime minister who says he too feels betrayed, says Smith never got a written commitment that he would allow his project to proceed if elected to office.

The prime minister was addressing the matter during Free National Movement Leader Michael Pintard’s contribution to the International Commercial Arbitration Bill 2023.

Pintard charging, the prime minister flip-flopped on the matter, but the prime minister is saying otherwise.
