NASSAU, BAHAMAS – A man who accepted the sexual advances of an underage teen was jailed for 15 years on Wednesday.

Walter Gray was unanimously convicted of two counts of unlawful sexual intercourse in January.

The first sexual encounter took place after the then-13-year-old girl in 2019.

On that occasion, the girl offered to perform oral sex on Gray and he accepted.

The second incident took place when the girl asked Gray to take her virginity at age 14.

The girl could not legally consent to the acts because she was under 16.In passing sentence, Justice Cheryl Grant-Thompson said that Gray should have allowed the teen to “maintain her innocence and continue her childhood.”
