Cadets Graduate From National Youth Guard

GRAND BAHAMA, BAHAMAS – On Friday, some 64 young cadets ages 18 through 25 made up the first cohort of the National Youth Guard.

It’s a promise kept from the Davis administration’s Blueprint for Change.

The graduation ceremony took place in Grand Bahama Friday morning, following 11 weeks of focused skill-building and disaster response training.

Prime Minister Philip Davis addressed the group group, who are now equipped to respond to emergencies and disasters by supporting public and private agencies.
