Ann Marie Davis: Sexual Assault Hike “Disheartening”
NASSAU, BAHAMAS – Spouse of the Prime Minister, Ann Marie Davis, has often voiced her concerns for the safety of women and children. She says the spike has been painful to see.
NASSAU, BAHAMAS – A string of sexual assaults in mid-May led police to issue warnings to the public, with safety tips including not walking alone, locking your doors, and even going so far as to advise delivery personnel and taxi drivers to have another person in the car with them while working.
Spouse of the Prime Minister, Ann Marie Davis, has often voiced her concerns for the safety of women and children. She says the spike has been painful to see.
As the current strategic efforts don’t seem to be working, Davis suggests perhaps it is time to widen the scope of the audience we try to educate about consent and gender-based violence.
The spouse of the Prime Minister adds that some thought should go deeper into the motivations behind these kinds of attacks.
