Revitalisation of Downtown Nassau A Priority

NASSAU, BAHAMAS – Executive Director of the Bahamas Tourism Board Ian Ferguson says tourism officials are working with public and private partners to enhance the look and feel of Downtown Nassau. 

New projects include a street musician program and a mural project.

Then there’s enhancing the overall tourism product  – whether it be in the food and beverage sector, retail, tour excursions and the list goes on.

Earlier this week Minister of Tourism Chester Cooper announced $10 million have been secured through an agreement with the kingdom of Saudi Arabia to fund the centers. 

Ferguson says the funds will directly impact New Providence, Grand Bahama, Exuma and Eleutehra.
