NASSAU, BAHAMAS – While we have experienced some rain over the past week, temperatures are still not letting up as July has been one of the hottest months on record.

For those plant and vegetable lovers looking to protect their crops this summer, the owner of a local organic farm is sharing some tips.

That’s the first word of advice to gardeners this summer as they try to protect their plants and crops from the summer heat.

Owner of Local Organics Limited Tiffany Denison says you don’t want to be faced with heat exhaustion or dehydration

She has a shade house and fans to keep air circulating for her plants.

Her advice is if you want to see your plants grow, use the morning sun only.

Next, it’s time for her to conduct maintenance at her farm and then reseed.
