NASSAU, BAHAMAS – When it rains, it pours. For many residents in New Providence, flooded roads make driving unbearable.

As work continues on the Village Road project, Resident Engineer for the Village Road Improvement Project Albrion Symonette Jr. Says drains have been installed on the new road.

But there has still has been challenges. Symonette says the issue of flood waters lingering after heavy rainfall is where the problem lies.

New ways are also being looked at to improve the disposal of flood water.
