NASSAU, BAHAMAS – The 13th Commonwealth Women’s Affairs Ministers Meeting is held every four years and gives Commonwealth countries the opportunity to discuss critical issues in advancing gender equality and women’s empowerment.

This year, wife of the prime minister Ann Marie Davis, has been charged with leading a “High level side event on gender based violence.”

She credits her passion for women empowerment, gender equality, and her efforts to end gender based violence as to how the event came about.

The high level side event will be held under the theme “Transformative leadership for gender equality and women empowerment.

Davis says it will highlight the Caribbean perspective on issues facing women within the Commonwealth.
