NASSAU, BAHAMAS – It may not have been in media headlines in the past few weeks.

Bahamas Union of Teachers President Belinda Wilson reassuring the public she’s still focused on the issue of Cuban teachers in the public school system.

You may recall back at the start of the school year, Wilson raised the this issue of Cuban teachers – allegedly unable to speak English – now assigned to teach in the public school system.

Education officials shot down that claim and an investigation launched.

She also examples to highlight her concerns.

Wilson says she will continue to do all she can to protect the students.
