NASSAU, BAHAMAS – When you think about the Ministry of Works and Family Island Affairs, you likely think about repairs to public infrastructure.

The most recent example of their community involvement was on full display last week when the Zonta Club of Nassau partnered with the ministry to raise awareness and spark conversation regarding gender-based violence as a part of their “Say No To Violence” campaign.

They took their message to the Best of the Best Regatta Committee, which falls under the MOWFIA.

Works and Family Island Affairs Minister is Clay Sweeting.

On Friday, the regatta site was adorned with several orange ribbons that represent solidarity in eliminating all forms of violence.
