OXFORD, MISSISSIPPI – Coach Yolett McPhee-McCuin was speaking in a postgame press conference on the lack of support her team had on Thursday’s win over the University of Florida.

The listed attendance for the game was 2,450, while 7,000 people showed up when they went to their in-state rival Mississippi State and 9,000 showed up when LSU, came to town.

According to the Grand Bahama native, that’s not good enough.

During her six years in the ‘sip, Coach McPhee-McCuin has turned the team from a SEC basement dweller, with nine wins, to one of the best teams in the league with a deep run in the tournament last year.

She doesn’t feel the love though.

They played earlier this afternoon against the University of Tennessee.
