WORLDWIDE – Volkswagen is issuing a recall for over 260,000 compact cars in the us due to a potential fuel leak risk, which could result in a fire hazard.

The affected models include various Volkswagen Golf, Golf Gti, Golf Sportwagen, Jetta, and Audi a3s from 2015 through 2020.

The car maker says the issue stems from an improperly installed seal around a suction pump near the gas tank, allowing fuel accumulation and potential leakage. Although no fires have been reported, VW says it will replace the pump at no cost for affected owners.
