NASSAU, BAHAMAS – A strike at Bahamas Telecommunications Company is looming as both unions are outraged over what they say was the wrongful termination of two managers on Friday.

As they fear more is on the way, they feel they have no other option than to shut down the telecommunications company.

Hundreds of BTC employees are prepared to walk off the job amid reports of two wrongful terminations Friday.

Bahamas Communications and Public Managers Union President Kendrick Knowles says the two managers were terminated without reason.

Union members marched into the gate demanding answers.

It comes after Knowles revealed attempts were made to reach executives but he says none of their calls were returned.

But the managerial union isn’t standing alone, Public Officers Union President Sherry Benjamin, believes two of her members are next.

Meanwhile, Knowles says the matter is hurting employees.
