CARIBBEAN – As Hurricane Beryl hits the windward islands, CARICOM leaders pray for minimal damage. CARICOM chairman and Guyana president Dr. Mohamed Irfaan a+Ali pledged support, urging citizens to follow advisories.

St. Kitts and Nevis Prime Minister Dr. Terrance Drew offered aid to affected islands, while Bahamian Prime Minister Philip Davis emphasized hurricane preparedness.

Forecasters predicts an above-normal hurricane season with 17 to 25 named storms and up to seven major hurricanes.
