LEBANON – Hezbollah’s leader declared on Thursday a “new phase” in the conflict with Israel at a funeral for a commander killed by an Israeli airstrike in Beirut on Tuesday.

Iran has vowed retaliation, while Israel denied further strikes that night, confirming the Beirut strike and linking the Hezbollah commander to a recent rocket attack.
